The app includes the following sections:

• The Tick: What does a tick look like and what is its habitat?
• Lyme Disease: Brief explanation of Lyme disease and its symptoms.
• Checking: Instructions on how to check yourself for ticks and when to do so.
• Removal: How to remove a tick? Watch the video.
• Tick Radar: View the current tick activity in the Netherlands.
• Tick Alert: Receive a notification when tick activity changes.
• Tick Identification: Compare a self-taken photo of a possible tick with pictures of ticks.
• Tick Diary: Record your tick bite including photos.

The information in this app is based on the educational campaign about ticks and Lyme disease by the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM) and is supported by various (nature) organizations.
